What is Osmosis (OSMO)?

Incorporating the Cosmos ecosystem, Osmosis is a decentralized exchange. The protocol allows for cross-chain decentralized applications due to its use of the Inter Blockchain Communication Protocol. In addition, Osmosis integrates with non-IBC blockchains. These include Ethereum [ETH] and Polkadot [DOT]. Besides Superfluid Staking, the dex provides a mechanism through which participants can add liquidity to the chain. 

Who are the founders of Osmosis?

Cosmos ecosystem members developed Osmosis. Dev Ojha from Sikka and Sunny Aggarwal from TenderMint. The Keplr wallet was designed by Josh Lee and Tony Yun.

History of Osmosis

In the early stages of the Osmosis protocol, the majority of the code was developed by Josh Lee and Sunny Aggarwal at Osmosis Labs. The platform's development was funded with $21 million from an October 2021 token sale led by Paradigm. Since the start of 2022, Osmosis' popularity has skyrocketed, with its TVL increasing drastically and crossing the $1 billion mark.
 

Decentralized software like Osmosis does not depend on any one person or organization to run it. Osmosis community members are responsible for governance instead of OSMO token holders. The Osmosis protocol is modified and upgraded by this group.

How does Osmosis work?

With Osmosis, a consensus protocol is used to ensure security through a proof of work consensus. The bitcoin-like protocol is used by Osmosis. In the same way that Bitcoin tokens are halved each year, Osmosis tokens are hardened every year, resulting in fewer tokens being issued. Liquidity pools can also be customized on the dex.

With Osmosis, their parameters can be adjusted according to opportunities they self-identify. Slippage, transaction fees, and other settings can be adjusted by users. With fractional ownership, the platform allows all participants to have equal rights within the defi market. Using Osmosis' governance processes, liquidity pools can also be customized. In addition to paying transaction fees, OSMO is used to support governance in Osmosis.

Is OSMO a Good Investment?

The Osmosis blockchain DEX builds within the Cosmos ecosystem and is a multichain blockchain DEX.
