Who Are the Founders of ZetaChain?

ZetaChain’s founder was an early Coinbase employee and BAT developer. The investors are all key market makers, big exchanges, early Coinbase and Binance workers, including Dan Romero, Sam Rosenblum, and John Yi, and Polygon's JD Kanani.

Coinbase's first Head of People, Nathalie McGrath, is the main advisor. He expanded the exchange from 10 to 800 workers. Juan Suarez was the in-house counsel from 2013 to 2022.

What Makes ZetaChain Unique?

Everything is connected via ZetaChain. It supports native omnichain smart contracts and cross-chain value transfer and message delivery to make any blockchain or layer interoperable. Omnichain dApps (odApps) on ZetaChain may read and change the status of all linked networks and use liquidity and data on many networks.

The native omnichain smart contract platform of ZetaChain allows developers to install contracts as easily as dApps for Ethereum, which arranges data and value across many or all chains. ZEC can link to Bitcoin and Dogecoin, which are not smart contract chains, and provide smart contract capabilities.

How is the ZETA Network Secured?

ZetaChain is a proof-of-stake blockchain based on Cosmos SDK and Tendermint consensus. It connects to Ethereum, BSC, Solana, Avalanche, Terra, Bitcoin, and Polygon, Optimism, and Arbitrum in a decentralized, transparent, and efficient way.

1. Validators produce blocks and earn rewards proportionate to their bonded stake money
2. Observers  gain agreement on external chain events and states
3. Distributed signers use conventional ECDSA/EdDSA keys to sign ZetaChain messages. 

ZetaChain generates and signs keys using the GG20 leaderless threshold signature scheme (TSS). No ZetaChain node or other person possesses the full private key. ZetaChain blocks are accessible, immutable, verifiable, and transparent, recording all inbound/outbound transactions.
